- What are your top 5 favorite songs right NOW?
- Just the Way You Are- Bruno Mars
- Teenage Dream- Katy Perry
- Love Like Woe- The Ready Set
- Rhythm of Love- Plain White T's
- I Run to You- Lady Antebellum
- What's the best movie you've seen in the past 12 months and why?I'm really not sure how to answer this one... I haven't been completely blown away by any movies lately. I did just see Easy A and just loved it! I was laughing through the entire thing!
- What food dish is your masterpiece? I'm not quite sure how to answer this question. I assume it means something I make really well... In that case- I'm not big on cooking. I can, I just don't do it much. So I will go ahead and say Garlic Chicken Stir Fry. Delicious!
- How often do you take different routes to the same places, just for fun?Never
- What's your preferable method for scenting things? (e.g., natural, candles, sprays, etc.)I'd have to say sprays....
- How many cars have you had and what were they? -- what will your NEXT car be?I learned to drive on the car I have now- 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
But all through high school I drove a sweet 1993 Crown Victoria. YES!! Let me just explain how sweet this car was. The only reason the seat was attached to the car was because of the wiring under the seat.. Therefore I drove like a gangster cuz it took all my might to pull myself up to the steering wheel to where I should have been. Also, you have to get in the trunk and pull the wire to open the gas thing. awesome.
I would like my next car to be some kind of cross over. We'll see.. once I have money and can afford the insurance too. ha
- What's your FAVORITE movie quote? If you've met me you know that I love love movie quotes. To choose a favorite is simply impossible. So I will just list my most commonly used at this point in my like: BIG SUCK!!- House Bunny
- What's one (or more) thing you have no problem buying on an impulse? This is rough. I'm not really a huge impulse buyer. But my answer would have to be sweatshirts!!
So as of now I'm not gonna tag anyone cuz I don't want to think any questions right now. But it may come later. Stay tuned!

Jerilyn Pence CSW
Well.. As many of you know I have been done with grad school for quite some time, but have been waiting to take this big exam. Let me just tell you what I had to go through just to register for this sucker:
1. Fill out a 22 page application for DOPL and submit a payment of $120.
2. Wait a week to receive a letter from them.
3. Get the letter and call ASWB to register for the exam and submit a payment of $260.
4. Wait a week to receive a letter from them. (In my case wait 2 weeks for the letter cuz the mailman was stupid and sent it back to ASWB in Virginia even though it had the correct address)
5. Call and schedule the exam.
6. Get up to be at the testing center by 8:30am to take the exam.
This is exam consists of 170 multiple choice questions and a 4 hour time limit. You must receive a score of 70 to pass the test. If not, all steps must be repeated (including another payment of $260) If you receive a passing score you are now officially licensed to get a job and practice as a therapist.
So on Friday morning I woke up from a rather restless night of sleep to get to the testing center. I was super anxious about it, but felt fully prepared. I have been studying for weeks and weeks, but knew this test kinda held the fate of my career. I took 2 1/2 hours to take the test with 2 short breaks to walk around and stretch. After I submitted the test I had to take a 10 question survey and then came up the screen that read: PASS!!!!!! Oh man- biggest relief EVER! I just stared at the screen, dropped my jaw, and said "SHUT UP!!!" So now I can go out tonight and celebrate! I am so relieved to have this over with. Now... bring on the job hunt!!

The Big 24!!!
So about a week before my birthday I found out Boyz II Men was coming into town for the Utah State Fair on my birthday! I just knew I had to get tickets! So I called up some friends to see if they even remembered the band and they were in for a fun night of reliving the 90s! So the deal was... the tickets were free with admission into the fair, but you had to get have a seating ticket. They released the seating tickets at noon the day of the show, but when I talked to the lady at the ticket office she said you needed to be there early to wait in line. So that morning Emily and I dragged our butts to the state fair at 7:30am to wait in line. We were number 65 in line and ended up getting tickets in the 8th row! Before the concert we headed to the fair and looked around. The sad thing is the Utah state fair doesn't even begin to compare with the Iowa State Fair. But we looked around and had some traditional fair food: navajo tacos for dinner and funnel cakes! yummmmmmy!!
Emily and I at the show. Thanks for waiting in line for hours with me to get the tickets!
Sarah and I
Lindsey and I- my new roomie!
And here they are: Boyz II Men!! Still doin' their thang!
Up close.. Slowin' it down
They still have some sweet dance moves!!
This picture is just funny to me cuz of that ghost hand... random.

Thanks for sharing my birthday with me and going to Boyz II Men! At first we were all just laughing cuz we were at a Boyz II Men concert. Then we realized they were actually still decent! Love their classics! Such a fun birthday!!
Stewart Falls Hike
Well... earlier this summer I decided I wanted to become more active and I wanted to enjoy Utah. Well enjoying Utah really mean outdoory kinda stuff (hiking, biking, etc), which is usually things I don't do much. So I told my friend Candice about this plan and she immediately began to plan a hike for us to go on. She does things like this pretty often, while I rarely participate in these kinds of activities. It turned out to be rather long and kind of difficult, but I made it through (not without some soreness the next day though). We also invited our friend Sarah along too! Here are some pics from the hike!

This is what we hiked miles for!! Beautiful!!

MSW Girls
I love hanging out with my MSW girls! One night we got together and went to an outdoor movie (The Blind Side). We didn't actually watch all of the movie, but it was so much fun!

Dance Recitals!
It's so fun being close to family- it means I get to go to a lot of my nieces and nephews little activities! This summer I was able to go to Lauren and Hailey's dance recitals! They're so fun and cute!
Lauren's dance recital was different than most recitals I've been to! They choose a book and and do the dances according to it! But it was very cute!
Lauren dancing her little solo!
At the end of the recital- I love how Lauren is peaking out from behind the other little girl!
Lauren and I after the recital
I went to both nights of Hailey's recital. She was on a cheer team and did ballet!
Hailey and her dance moves on the cheer team!
Hailey during her ballet routine
I think the pic is sweet. You can't really tell but Hailey is the one getting major air in the middle!

Bear Lake
Okay... So I'm going back through my summer to catch up on all the big events I haven't blogged about.
For the 4th of July weekend my entire family went to Bear Lake. We rented the same cabin we did last year, which is pretty amazing! It's so nice to have the space! The lake was really cold, but we had a day at the lake! It's always fun no matter what! They kids have lots of room to play. Last year most of us came out with some pretty nasty sunburn, but we were much smarter this year! Another day we went to a park and had some Pence Olympics! It was super fun and included some kickball and some water games! Super fun for the kids and adults! We did some sparklers and poppers for the 4th. Then of course we had lots of good food and chill time with each other!!
